CASE STUDIES
Our case studies highlight the practical, real‑world impact of our work across hospitality, call centres, public‑sector operations and specialist environments. Each example shows how we design fair, efficient and future‑proof shift patterns that cope with workload variations, support staff wellbeing and deliver reliable service performance.
Wedding Planning: Continuity That Drives Revenue
At a successful wedding venue, continuity is everything. The planner who meets the couple at the first consultation must be the same person who guides them through every milestone and is present on the wedding day. We designed a shift pattern that guarantees continuity over 12–18 months, maximising upsell opportunities and protecting the venue’s reputation for exceptional service.
Outcome: consistent client experience and increased revenue from long‑term planning journeys.
Hotel Staffing: Designing a 24/7 Operation That Works
Hotels never sleep — and neither do their staffing challenges. We analysed workload patterns across housekeeping, reception, night security, maintenance and food service to design a shift system that copes with peaks, supports flexible working and ensures the right skills are available at every hour.
Outcome: reduced fatigue, improved coverage, and a fairer distribution of weekends and bank holidays.
Call Centre Operations: Managing Workload Peaks
Call centre peaks often look chaotic, but in this case they were driven by predictable human behaviour. By analysing when and why customers chose to call, we adapted the shift pattern to match natural demand rather than fight it.
Outcome: smoother service levels, reduced stress for staff, and a pattern that aligns with how people actually behave.
Public Sector: Fair, Efficient and Compliant Operations
We have designed shift patterns for every type of public‑sector organisation — universities, hospitals, police, social services, museums, prisons, CCTV control rooms, care in the community, fire & rescue, docks and harbours, and government agencies including 10 Downing Street and Land Registry.
Outcome: compliant, future‑proof operations that support essential services and withstand union scrutiny.
Chelsea Hospital: A Shift Pattern Built for Continuity
Chelsea Hospital needed a shift pattern that guaranteed continuity — ensuring each day’s team included someone who was on yesterday and someone who would be there tomorrow. We designed an operation that protects clinical knowledge, strengthens handovers and keeps patient care consistent.
Outcome: reliable continuity, confident teams and a pattern that supports long‑term stability.
